After a while Ehlana (8 mo)wouldn't ever blink at me she just crawed straight to Grandma. Actually, it was Grandma who was on the floor teaching her how to crawl. By the end of two weeks Ehlana was a pro.

Sting Ray's at the Grand Ol Opre Mall in Nashville.
The Sting Ray's literally jump half way out of the water trying to bite a fish out of your hand. I couldn't get a good picture of it out of the water that far. The kids went crazy over that.
Ehlana at 6 months.
Ray was trying to take a nap on the couch and the kids attacked him. So, I let Ehlana join the party.
This is Kael's birthday cake (October).
I just can't resist taking pictures of Ehlana. She is in such a cute phase. It's easy to take smiley, happy pictures at this time. She is 7 months here.
Ehlana is eating her first food that doesn't come out of a baby food bottle. Grahm crackers.
Adara had some friends over and they were playing dress up. This time they decided to dress the baby up too. It was pretty funny. Before this Kael had the purple dress on.......we had a talk about Prince's and pants that day.
Halloween is always a favorite because the kids get to dress up. The kids have spent the entire month in the costume box dressing up. Now, I actually let them out of the house.
Ehlana was a litte spider......just like all of the other kids were at this age. I just love that costume. It is soooooo cute. Ray and I were tired and lame this year. No real costume for us.
On Adara's birthday all she wanted was Pink, Pink, Princess everything, Pink, Pink, Pink. So, I went out and found these little Peek-a-Boo Barbie Mini's for the cake and made sure there was plenty of pink on it. She loved it. All of her presents were Pink, Barbie and Princess based. Go figure. She's a princess in training.
In November I had to have surgery to fix a rather large hernia. So, Grandma Jolley flew over to help me afterwards and the kids had so much fun. Ehlana knew where to go to be pampered since I couldn't do it.
This is just the cutest picture.

Here is Grandma and the boys...... and, of course, Ehlana.
We made smores the other day (December 7) and I had the kids sit on the floor. This would prevent chocolate fingers from travelling to the walls and floor in other rooms........I blocked the entrance to the kitchen. Ehlana (9 mo) natually follows the kids so she crawed over me and straigt to the goods. She's wearing black so you can't see the real mess. She loved every bit of it. Girls and Chocolate Rule!!
Ehlana (9 mo) changed outfits 4 times this day because she was now strong enough to knock over the mop bucket. After changing her the first time she managed to crawl back in the water when I wasn't looking. I changed her again, then Kael brought a soaked towel over to show me there was a problem............and when I told him I knew about it he dropped the towel on Ehlana. It immediately soaked her again.......it was that wet. I finished mopping the floors with the wet towels since there was plenty of water on them to spare. While doing that, Ehlana found the hidden bucket and dumped over the small bit that was left in the bottom. Her socks and pants were plenty wet and we headed back to the closet to see what outfits were left. Having is such a joy....... and a circus. I don't want to talk about how church went this last sunday since Ray was out of town for training. I think I own a zoo...... and they attract others of the same species.

So I took Adara out shopping one day and we happened to pass by a rack of BRIGHT PINK dresses. Could we just pass by and get to the diapers.....NOOOOO. She had to jump up and down like she won a beauty pagent and was gasping while explaining how beautiful it was and that it was so pretty pink and how I had to buy it for her. I told her I would think about and she carried it around the whole store until I gave in. At least I know she will wear it until she can't zip it up anymore. Well, it might look like she jumped in a pig pen before that happens since she wants to wear it all the time.
Kael was so tired at the end of one day that he passed out on the floor. So, Ray mentions that he looked like he was dead and went to find the chalk. "I got that darn varmint." He got such a kick out of this and Kael has no idea this ever took place. We put him in bed then took the next picture.
Look at that cheesy grin.
The kids wanted a picture in front of our messy garage. Check out all of those boxes. Where is all of that junk going to go? Oddly enough, we've been here for 2 weeks now and the garage is the cleanest room in the house. The rest is getting there.
Adara is bumming a ride off her Dad. Who wouldn't when you're that young. Poor Ray, he's pooped. He and Chris (my bro.) had to unload our heaviest furniture.....the entertainment center. That's only a quarter of it on the left. It's a heavy beggar.
Holy Cow!! I don't know what Adara was thinking. It was pretty hot and humid outside and she wants to put on winter garb. All that was going through her mind is.............FASHION. The things girls do to be fashionable.
Uncle Chris is currently my kids' favorite uncle simply because he would play with them. Kael wouldn't play unless he was on Chris' back. Liam just wanted to get wet and Adara got wet then went back in the house. How does that feel Chris? In your face!!!
This is the house we are renting. It is so nice to have some room finally. On post housing was a bit tight, but we were lucky to find this place. The only problem is that it is bigger......that means more to clean......a whole lot more to mow (1 acre to be exact. With a pushing lawn mower.) That kind of bites, but it is good exercise. There are some neighbor kids who go around mowing lawns when they need money.......sadly they haven't come around this week.
Me and Ehlana just hanging out.
I had to get a picture of the kids trying to copy their Daddy doing his situps. It was pretty darn funny.
Who is that mysterious man behind the mask? Kael found a mask that kids would never play with, but fought over when he came out with it on. He wouldn't take it off or share. No way Jose. He just chased the others around growling at them.Saturday, April 25, 2009
Here is little Ehlana at 6 weeks. She is a sweetheart and is totally adored by her siblings. She is starting to smile and stick her tongue out and cue. It's so fun to watch a newborn start to come alive. We are excited that she is with us now.
Liam, Adara, Kael and Ehlana. We are very proud of our kids, but Ray is especially proud of spelling LAKE from the first letters of each kids' name.
This is a fun picture we took of the kids because they wanted to show themselves off for the family. We miss all of you related people........and our friends that we've had to move away from. Sunday, March 08, 2009
This is the only picture of me in the hospital that I could bare to put on the blog. Welcome to the world little Ehlana Lee Wallace.
All dressed up and no where to go. Ray's date is a little young, but beautiful.
Here is my Mom with little Ehlana. She is grandchild number 16. Way to go Mom and Dad. Look what you started.
Here is a proud Daddy with his 2nd little girl.
Here is little Ehlana Lee Wallace. She definitely looks like Ray. His genes have done it again.
Isn't she pretty. The lips are my genes.....that's all I contributed as far as I can tell.
Adara is so excited to have a little sister finally. She can't wait to have nail painting parties and to do girly things with Ehlana. Aunt Triny has been such a big help and we love having her around.
Aunt Triny is helping Liam hold his baby sister. I am very pleased about how excited our kids are to have a new sister. The kids have so much fun together.

Oh, how our kids love their Daddy.
Here you go everyone. The Budda Belly. This is 3 weeks before the scheduled delivery. I will get a little bit bigger, but not much. Our kids are excited and I want my body back. But first I get to play the part of a milk cow. Then, I will be able to call my body my own again. Isn't being a Mom great!
